Masterpiece

You know a masterpiece is in the works when the tounge is sticking out during the creative process.

Sleepy

I'm not completely sure what happened to her shorts but she went from running around all crazy to passed out on the couch in 2 minutes. This girl sure knows how to keep me on my toes.

Bath Time

As I had mentioned before Bode absolutely HATES the bath but he sure is a cutie all wrapped up in his towel.

Hair Part 4

One day while Corbin was at school I convinced her to let me blow dry and straighten her hair after her bath. It was kind of fun to spend some time with Emma like that. I thought it turned out really cute but it made me realize how much her hair still has that mullet look. I was so sad later that day when we were out riding bikes with neighbors and her hair got wet and those curls came back instantly. All that hard work gone. Oh well. It was cute while it lasted.

Emma's Side

With Corbin and Emma sharing a room I've really been struggling on the best way to decorate it. I finally decided that I was going to let each of them decorate their side of the room. I took Emma out and let her pick things to go on her wall, with a little persuasion from me of course. I really like how it turned out and she was thrilled to have things up on her wall! I did take Corbin out the next day but his will be his own post.

3 Months

I cannot believe that Bode is 3 months already. We love this little guy so much. He has been a pretty good baby. He has really started interacting with us and Corbin got him to really giggle for the first time last week. He only takes 45 minutes to an hour long naps during the day but at night he sleeps from 8 till 4 or 5, will eat and then sleep till 7. He will NOT take a bottle unless it has breast milk in it and then he'll take it but still puts up a stink about it. He HATES getting his diaper changed and he HATES the bath! I've never had a child hate the bath but he sure does holler and scream at us during bath time. For the most part he seems like a pretty easy going kid which is good.

Story Time

I feel so blessed to have this man in my life. He is such a great Dad, husband and provider for our family.  Our kids just adore him (as do I!) and they especially love when he offers to read them stories.  I never see my kids move faster then when Daddy tells them to go get a book and he will read to them.

Changing

Bode is in the prime changing age. I feel like every time I go to get him in the morning he looks so different.  I still get a lot of comments about how he looks just like Corbin, which I agree with but I also feel like he has really come into his own look.  We started showing him some toys a couple of weeks ago and he seems to really like this lion toy I got for him.

Corbin

For the last month and a half I feel like I have been on quite the emotional roller coaster ride with this little man of mine.  It all started on the first day of Kindergarten.  Taking him to school the first day wasn't as bad as I had anticipated but the first day he got on the bus is when I really started struggling.  All of a sudden he didn't need me by his side.  I survived the week only to get up to Bear Lake and he tried something new by going skimming behind the boat and he fell in the water.  Seeing my 5 year old just floating in this huge lake completely by himself was really hard.  It felt like it took forever to get to him and as soon as we did he was smiling and asking to try something new.  I was so proud of him but I couldn't help but tear up just thinking about how much he had grown up in the last few days.  All of a sudden I wasn't needed as much as I used to be.  I know that is how it is supposed to be and I keep reminding myself that this is what parenting is all about but it has still be really hard.  I love this guy so much and he is and forever will be my little buddy.

Bumbo

Bode had his first experience in the Bumbo.  He was a little unsure about it at first but ended up sitting in it for 20 minutes and was pretty content to be in it.  Especially when he discovered that he could chew on the front of it.

Tummy Time

My Little Sous Chef

Emma was my little helper the other day while I was making cookies. Her favorite part? Licking the beaters!
