Sitting up

Bode has started sitting up. He doesn't do it for very long periods of time but he can do it. He does a lot better when there is no one running around him or getting in his face because they are so proud of him.  Oh the joys of being the 3rd child.

Bath Hater

Bode HATES the bath!  We have tried everything from putting him in the bath by himself, with the other kids, in the little baby bath we have, in the big tubs and even in the sink.  The second he touches the water he screams until he is securely wrapped back up in his towel.  I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is that he hates so much.  I seriously dread bath time now knowing that he will probably scream the entire time.

Happy Halloween!

Once again we had a wonderful Halloween. We started the day at a costume parade at Corbin's school. I have to be honest I did get a little emotional thinking that my little boy is big enough to be in to be in one of those but it was fun to see him at his school.   Before trick or treating some neighbors invited a few families to come over for dinner and scones following which the kids all headed out for trick or treating.  Emma made it through the whole neighborhood before she said she was done which was about 45 minutes.  She loved being at home and helping me hand out candy to the trick or treaters. Corbin and Kyle were gone for 2 1/2 hours!  He had so much fun going with his friends

Pumpkin Carving

The night before Halloween we carved the kids pumpkins. It was filled with smiles, giggles, a saws-all, tears, screaming, pumpkin guts, more crying, carving and a final product. Kyle pulled out his saw to get the tops off of the pumpkins and that sent Bode crying and Emma really nervous. Finally got Bode settled down and we showed Emma how to gut her pumpkin and she started screaming and crying. She did not want to do it. We finally convinced her to just touch it and she finally realized that it wasn't as bad as she thought it was so we got her to gut a little bit of her pumpkin. Corbin's pumpkin was a werewolf and Emma's was a kitty cat.
