Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we headed up to our friend's family cabin for a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend up in Heber.  It was so nice to get away up into the mountains and relax.  We played horseshoes, went on a nature walk/hunt and just enjoyed being with good friends!  On Monday we came home and were able to have my family come over for a BBQ.  It was a great way to end a great weekend!

St. George

Last week the kindergartners were out for testing so my Michele invited us and 2 other Moms and all of our kids down to her home in St. George for a couple of days. It was pure craziness with 4 moms and 11 kids there but we had so much fun!  We pretty much swam for 2 days straight.  Bode even got into it and by the end he really enjoyed being in the water.  Corbin was able to show of his great swimming skills and Emma finally got brave enough to put her whole head under the water.  It was so nice to get away for a few days and just have a great time with our friends!

Brothers

I was able to catch the sweet moments between Corbin and Bode at his last baseball game. I hope that they will be the best of buddies as they both get older.

Baseball

Baseball season is in full force around here.   Corbin has progressed so much this year and we are so proud of him.  At this game he was able to assist in 2 outs.  He would grab the ball and throw it to first base just in a way that the first baseman could grab it and tag the base before the runner got there.  We were all really excited for him.

Emma's Dance Recital

Emma had her very first dance recital last Friday.  The night before I took her to her dress rehearsal and it did not go well.  She cried most of the time and for the times that she wasn't crying she had her fingers in her mouth and didn't do any of her dance.  I was really nervous going into the concert that she was going to react the exact same way she did the night before.  All day Friday we talked about what she was doing that night and I made sure that she took a nap and kept my fingers crossed as she walked back stage with the girl that was in charge of her.  She did awesome and had so much fun up there.  Kyle and I watched her with little tears in our eyes because she all of sudden seemed so big to us.  Her dance was to Under the Sea from the Little Mermaid.  I think she was most excited for the flowers that Kyle and Corbin brought for her after her dance recital was over.  She still looks at them and tells me that those are her flowers from her special dance recital.
