Cornbelly's 2016

One of our favorite fall activities to do while the kids are off track is to go to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point.  We buy a season pass so we can go as many times as we want so we managed to go a few times during the month.  Of course it's always a bonus when friends can join us as well.

Rainbow

A little over a year ago I took almost this exact same picture but there is something about a rainbow that just makes me so happy.  Maybe because it gives me hope for what comes after a storm.  Whether it's weather or a personal storm that I'm going through there is beauty after the darkness.  This has become a really great reminder for me as we go through Kyle's project in Ephraim.  I get asked all the time how things are going and if it's hard and the answer is yes it is hard.  It's very hard and there are lots of days or weeks that I just want to curl up in a ball and cry or throw a huge tantrum  but I know that we are becoming closer as a family and I am becoming a stronger person.  We take it a day at a time but I know that we will survive this storm and there is going to be wonderful things at the end of it.

Movie Adventure

While my kids are off track I decided to take them to see Storks on $5 Tuesdays.  My friend decided to join my with her 4 kids and then I picked up 2 other kids whose Moms couldn't come.  I got to the theater and started buying tickets and in walked my friend with 2 more kids. So it was 2 Moms with 12 kids at the movies.  It was super crazy getting them all settled with popcorn and everything but once the movie started they were really good except for my friends baby who just wanted to crawl around everywhere so she spent most of the time down in the entry way.

Alpine Loop/Conference Weekend

In between General Conference sessions on Sunday we decided to take a drive around the Alpine Loop to see all the fall colors.  It did NOT disappoint.  The colors were insanely vibrant and it was so pretty.  A bunch of people ended up having the exact same idea as us so the drive was very slow and Kyle told the kids that they could each take a turn sticking their heads out the sunroof, which they thought was the coolest thing ever!  The whole drive the kids just kept telling us how much they loved doing this and that they were so grateful that we brought them up to see the leaves.  I love escaping away to the mountains and be reminded of all the amazing things that our Heavenly Father created for us and how amazing nature is.
