First Snow!

We had our very first snow fall in Herriman last week. To say the kids were excited is a HUGE understatement!  I got a text from our neighbor at 8 am saying that her girls were dying to come over and play!  The kids had lots of fun sledding and running around.  It was Bode's first real time out in the snow and he loved it for about 10 minutes and then he had had enough.

1st Grade Program

Corbin had his 1st grade program this last week. It was so cute! They told us about their day at school and what they do during the day.  All the kids sang so well.  I loved them singing This is my Flag and their very last song, I'm proud to be an American.  Corbin has grown up so much since he has started 1st grade and he is growing up to be a pretty incredible boy.

Primary Program 2014

Last Sunday, November 9th was our ward's primary program.  The kids did such a good job.  I was up on the stage playing the piano but I got a lot of comments on Emma's singing job while the sunbeams sang I am a Child of God and how well Corbin did on his part.  These 2 are growing up so fast and could not have been more proud of them!

Halloween!

Once again we had a wonderful Halloween day!  It started with Corbin's school parade and then I volunteered for his classroom party.  Before the kids headed out trick or treating our neighborhood had a chili dinner all together.  The weather was perfect and it was just another moment of realizing why we love our neighborhood so much.  Once dinner was the kids took off for their trick or treating adventures.  I went home and about 20 minutes into it Kyle brought Bode home and 10 minutes later Emma was home complaining that her legs hurt.  Corbin on the other hand went for 3 hours and got quite the load.  This year my friend told us how they donate half their candy they get to the Christmas Box home because the children there don't get to go trick or treating.  After talking to the kids they were more than happy to give up some of their candy for kids that don't get any.  It was such a sweet thing watching them go and give my friend their big bag of candy to give to other kids.
