USU vs LSU

On Saturday we went to the USU vs LSU football game with my family. Corbin had a great time playing with his cousins and watching the game. Emma had a great time eating everything and anything she could get her hands on. Corbin also conquered a fear of his...mascots. He actually got his picture taken with Big Blue. This is huge for him and I was so proud! GO AGGIES!

USU Alumni Lacrosse

Saturday was the Alumni Lacrosse game. Kyle loves going up and playing in these games. I was surprised at how old some of the men were on the Alumni side. I know that that will be Kyle one day. In his upper 40s and 50s and still coming up to play in the game. It's fun to go up and watch him play a sport that he loves so much.

Care Center

Last Friday for music class we dressed all the kids in their costumes and went and sang to the residents at the Care Center that is by our house. We did this last year and I was so excited to do it again. I know the kids really have no idea what is going on but it is such a sweet experience. It was such a beautiful day. We met at someones house and all of walked over to the Care Center. It was quite a sight!

On our way back home we just had to take advantage of the falling leaves in front of our church and let the kids play in them. The kids had so much fun!

Art Time

While Emma was napping I decided that Corbin and I needed to do something together so I pulled out the paints and did some fingerpainting with him. We made a couple of Halloween art and than he made one just for his Daddy. It was fun to sit and talk to him and listen to his "stories" about the spiders and his picture he was making for his Dad.

Here's the Halloween finished products. The orange paper is spiders and the black one is ghosts.

We also did a little science experiment with some vinegar colored blue, baking soda, and a syringe.

Spaghetti Queen

Emma had spaghetti for the first time on Tuesday. She loved it! Corbin was a little bothered by the fact that she was getting it everywhere but after I explained to him that he did the same thing when he was her age he was a little more ok with it. Thank goodness for baths!

Hillbilly Corbin

Last weekend Kyle and I went to a Halloween Costume party (Pictures of that to come later). We went as Hillbilly/Rednecks. Corbin thought it would be fun to try on part of Kyle's costume.

Cute right?

Random Pictures

These are just a bunch of pictures that never made it into their own posts that I didn't want to forget about so they all get to come together in a fun random post of pictures!

We went to Cafe Sabor, one of our all time favorite Mexican restaurants in Logan, and all Corbin wanted was a side of rice. I ordered it thinking it would be just the right size for him and this is what they brought out to us. The plate was bigger than his whole head!

Ghosts Stories

"Mom, listen to my ghost story. Once upon a time there once was a skeleton and he was afraid of a witch. The End."

We're getting VERY excited for Halloween in our household!

Apples

My kids LOVE apples! I can sit Emma in her high chair and give her an apple and she will sit and gnaw on it and suck on it and it will keep her busy for quite awhile and she actually does really well at it too. Apples have become a frequent snack in our household. Gotta love them!

Cooking

Corbin and Emma have started playing so well together. Emma is just the right age that she follows Corbin around and doesn't really care what they are playing. Corbin loves to pretend to cook and make "yummies" for us. Today he was making some pasta.

Overrated

Clothes are SO overrated!

We bleed BLUE

Kyle and I are both BYU fans and USU fans, so when they play each other it tends to be a very exciting game for us. Last night was the BYU vs USU football game at Lavell Edwards stadium. Going into the game we were just excited for a good game and would be happy whoever won. We had a great time at the game singing both of the schools fight songs and cheering for every good play. We truely bleed blue. GO BLUE TEAMS!!!

Church History Museum

This week we took a field trip down to Salt Lake to go the Church History Museum. I had heard really good things about their kid section and everything I heard was true. Corbin had such a great time pretending to feed the missionaries, gathering the eggs and picking the vegetables. He loved building towers and fishing over the edge of the boat and he loved dressing up and learning how to dance. Emma loved the stuffed chickens they had and I even put a skirt on her when Corbin was dancing. It was huge on her but she looked so cute in it. We also saw a replica of the pulpit there. It was a great time to talk to Corbin about General Conference this weekend and that the prophet and apostles will be speaking from a pulpit that looks just like it.
