Easter Sunday

Our Easter was very small this year with us getting back from California the night before.  I even think if I hadn't put out the Easter baskets out Sunday morning my kids may have not known it was Easter until we had gotten to church and they talked about it in Primary.  I feel slightly bad about that but at the same time I don't because we had just had a blast on our family trip.  After church we went up to Heber to spend the rest of the day with the Liljenquist family.  Heidi had made sugar cookies for people to decorate and then the kids got to do an egg hunt and Corbin found the egg with the dollar bill in it.  Even though we were exhausted it was so nice to spend the evening with family!

Disneyland Day 7

On Friday we decided to try and go see the tide pools.  Unfortunately I think we got there as low tide was ending so we were unsuccessful at seeing anything but the kids had a blast none the less playing on the beach.  We went back to the beach house and had lunch and some quiet time for the kids while the adults played games outside.  We also went and got snow cones at this coffee house that we had been told were awesome and they were!  Best snow cone I've had in a long time.  That night Kyle and I were able to go out while Amber and Sam stayed home with the kids. Saturday we drove home, which ended up taking us a whole lot longer than we wanted it to, but we made it home and were so glad to be back home. We couldn't have asked for a better family trip!

Disneyland Day 6

Thursday we woke up at 5:15 am so that we could be on the road and in line in time for Magic Morning hours that started at 7.  We went straight to fantasyland and rode Dumbo, the Teacups, Peter Pan, the Matterhorn and all the rides there that don't have any fast passes and the lines end up being super long come 10 or 11 o'clock.  We saw more princesses and were able to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder after their show.  By about noon the troops were pretty tired.  At one point we sat down to get some bignet's and Corbin laid down on my lap and fell asleep.  We explored Tom Sawyer's Island for awhile and rode Star Tours and shopped for some souvenirs.  We got to ride on Star Tours one more time and then we headed over to California Adventure to ride Radiator Raceway.  We grabbed some dinner and then the 2 families decided to separate because the Stroman's wanted to go and ride Pirates of the Carribean and our kids did not want to do that.  We stayed and Corbin and Kyle rode Califonia Screamin one more time and Emma and I jumped in line for her favorite Toy Story Mania.  Kyle and Corbin were able to join us and we rode it as a family.  We met back up with the Stromans for fireworks, which ended up being cancelled because of high elevation winds.  Kind of a bummer but we still had such a great time at Disneyland!
