Cookies for Santa

The evening before Christmas Eve we made cookies and decorated them for Santa Claus to come the next night.  Tessa just loved gnawing on the cookie while Bode went sprinkle crazy.  Emma and Corbin took their time and wanted to make sure they looked perfect.  I'm sure Santa got a sugar shock after eating these kid's cookies!

Tepanyaki

In our home we have a reward jar full of puff balls. The kids can earn puff balls by doing things the first time they are asked, by doing things without being asked or when they are extra sweet.  Once this jar is full we get to go and do something as a family that we wouldn't just normally do.  Last time we took the kids bowling but this time we thought it would be fun to take our kids to Tepanyaki.  They loved using chop sticks to eat and watching the guy cook in front of us.  They really loved watching the guy throw shrimp into our mouths too.   They keep asking when we can go back and they tell each other that they need to keep earning puff balls to get to go again.  I love these moments with my little family and experiencing new things with them.  Even though I've already experienced it, it seemed extra sweet and awesome this time around!

Pajama Dance

Emma's studio had a small performance before winter break. They got to come to the studio and dance their dance in their pajamas and then see Santa.  Emma just loves to perform and she was so cute to watch!

Two Teeth

Tessa finally has her 2 bottom teeth! She is by far my slowest teether, the other 3 had theirs in by their 6 month mark.  It's not the best shot but you can spot those little teeth through her cheesy grin.

Gingerbread Houses

On one of the evenings that Kyle was away from us during December I decided to make gingerbread houses with the kids.  It was slightly chaotic and I'm not sure if I'll ever try to do that on my own again but the kids had a blast with it and I think that is all that matters.  Emma ended up eating a lot of her candy off her house before I got to take a picture of it but you get the idea.

Maddie's Dance

Emma and I had the chance to go and watch my niece, Maddie dance with her company.  Maddie is such a beautiful dancer and Emma loved watching her.

Emma is 6!!

This sweet girl, Emma is 6 years old!  She is sassy and spunky, has a heart of gold and definitely keeps us on our toes.  She so desperately wants to be older and I keep trying to tell her to just enjoy being young cause one day she'll look back and miss these days.   She loves to help with her younger siblings and adores her big brother.  She loves to tell anybody that will listen everything that has happened in her life or what has happened over the last 30 minutes.  She loves daddy/mommy daughter dates and begs for them any chance she gets.  We love this beautiful girl so much and she adds so much to our family!
