This last week was our 2nd week up at the Bear Lake Cabin. Unfortunately we were not able to go for the whole week and Kyle wasn't able to come with us but we had a great time! Wendi and her family were here for the week as well. Corbin had such a great time playing with his cousin McKinley. She is 3 days younger than Corbin.
As always we had a great time! The water has come up so much that we could just walk out to our dock which was great! I also got a chance to learn how to surf and it was fun. I only got to try it once but I'm very excited to try it again. Corbin also skimmed everyday.
Corbin, Ben & McKinley
This is just some of the cousins.
Because we weren't going to be able to stay the whole time Cameron was nice enough to pull out some of the fireworks that he had bought to light off for the 24th of July so that Corbin could watch some. They had these huge sparklers that the kids just loved!

Canning Beans
My parents grow a garden and every year we have a deal with my parents that we are welcome to anything in their storage area as far as canning goes as long as we help pick and can them. So for family night we went down and helped out. Corbin really got into it this year and was a huge help. He helped me pick some raspberries, and he helped snap the beans ends off and than he helped my mom wash and put the beans into the bottles.
Emma also got her first try of fresh beans. She gnawed her way through 2 whole beans and wanted more. Every so often I would have to stick my finger in and make sure she wasn't getting too big of chunks but she loved it!

Ode to the Cheeks
Dear Emma,
How we love your cheeks! Those yummy, kissable, pinchable, chunker cheeks. Everyone we see can't help but comment on those checks of yours. They are the sweetest cheeks known to man!

Raptors Game
We took the kids to the Raptors game. We love that they are giving away free tickets to their home games this year so we will probably be going lots this summer. While at the game one of the ushers gave Corbin a game ball and he got it signed by the Raptors mascot, Oggie. Unfortuantely I didn't get a picture of it but it was a HUGE thing for him to go anywhere near mascots! So proud of him!

4th of July Weekend
We had a wonderful, LONG 4th of July weekend, playing with lots of family and just enjoying being together as a family.
Our festivites actually started on Friday, the 1st this year. Centerville chose to do all of their stuff on the 1st and the 2nd of July. The night of the 1st we went to the concert in the park in Centerville.
The next morning we woke up bright early to support the runners of the Freedom 5K Run. Even though we get up super early it was fun to see them all run. I was so proud of Kyle for pushing the double jogging stroller and finishing the race!
After the race we had breakfast in the park and than went down to our spots for the parade. Corbin was a little unsure about the whole thing at first but after about half of the parade he picked up on getting the candy and realized that the parade was a fun thing.
When the parade ended we went back to the park and the kids jumped in the bouncy house, we ate funnel cake and snow cones, and looked at the booths.
After the parade and the festivites in the park the men took off to a movie and we went back to the house and put the kids down for much needed naps. After naps we let the kids put their swimsuits on and go outside and run through the sprinklers, play on the slip n slide and play in the kiddie pool. It was fun to watch the kids play and be able to sit outside and just hang out.
On the 4th we took it easy in the morning and than went down to a BBQ at Jodi's (Kyle's sister) house after which we headed up to Park City to go to the fireworks up there with Cameron and Torie and their 2 kids. We went to the park and it was so crazy. There were lots of people and they were all firing off their own fireworks. But the boys had a blast and loved doing their own sparklers.
The 2 girls, Emma & Lucy.
