4th of July Weekend

We had a wonderful, LONG 4th of July weekend, playing with lots of family and just enjoying being together as a family.

Our festivites actually started on Friday, the 1st this year. Centerville chose to do all of their stuff on the 1st and the 2nd of July. The night of the 1st we went to the concert in the park in Centerville.

The next morning we woke up bright early to support the runners of the Freedom 5K Run. Even though we get up super early it was fun to see them all run. I was so proud of Kyle for pushing the double jogging stroller and finishing the race!

After the race we had breakfast in the park and than went down to our spots for the parade. Corbin was a little unsure about the whole thing at first but after about half of the parade he picked up on getting the candy and realized that the parade was a fun thing.

When the parade ended we went back to the park and the kids jumped in the bouncy house, we ate funnel cake and snow cones, and looked at the booths.

After the parade and the festivites in the park the men took off to a movie and we went back to the house and put the kids down for much needed naps. After naps we let the kids put their swimsuits on and go outside and run through the sprinklers, play on the slip n slide and play in the kiddie pool. It was fun to watch the kids play and be able to sit outside and just hang out.

On the 4th we took it easy in the morning and than went down to a BBQ at Jodi's (Kyle's sister) house after which we headed up to Park City to go to the fireworks up there with Cameron and Torie and their 2 kids. We went to the park and it was so crazy. There were lots of people and they were all firing off their own fireworks. But the boys had a blast and loved doing their own sparklers.

The 2 girls, Emma & Lucy.
