After Idaho we headed to our week at Bear Lake. We told our kids that we were going to be going to Paris and they all freaked out at us saying that they don't want to go to Paris, they want to go to Bear Lake. I told them they don't even know what Paris is and Emma said, "Yeah it's where the Eiffel tower is. " And Corbin responded, "Yeah they say Bonjour and other stuff like that!" I was impressed that they knew all of that. As we drove through Paris, Idaho I told them, "Look! I told you we were going to go to Paris." They did not find me very funny but were very much relieved to know that this was the Paris I was talking about at that we were still going to Bear Lake. There is a magic at Bear Lake that we cannot describe. It has something that my kids have come to love almost as much as Kyle does. We missed Grandpa and Grandma Liz terribly but continue to be grateful for their service as missionaries in Africa.
Corbin attempted to water ski on a slalom ski and almost got up and he was finally successful on getting up on a wakeboard this time. Now he just has to learn how to make it work. Emma knee boarded and got up waterskiing on the kid skis and did a lot of tube rides and Bode rode the tube a bunch. Best part of Bear Lake is being with cousins 24/7. Never a dull moment and they never needed my entertainment!
On Sunday we went to church and ended up sitting in the hallway with 300 other people. Just in the hallway! We made the mistake of sitting across from the chair holder which the kids saw as their own personal jungle gym!
