Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve day we spent the day making goodies and pies for Christmas day.   We convinced the kids to make turtles and oreo balls for Santa this year instead of the normal sugar cookies.  Corbin was less than thrilled about it at the beginning but the more we talked about it we finally convinced that Santa needed a change and that we thought that he would probably eat all of the treats we left him.  In the evening we headed out to be with the Parrish clan for Christmas Eve.  We started with out traditional program where each family performs a song or story.  The kids happily stepped up and sang Stars were Gleaming.  Then we each took turns putting our hay that we had collected throughout the month of December to the manger and Dad read the Nativity.  Then we had dinner and did our gift exchange.  The kids also got a chance to open their new Christmas pajamas before we packed up and headed home.
