Emma is 18 months old! She has become the sweetest little girl. She is now 27.9 lbs (85th percentile) and is 35 inches long (upper 95th percentile).
*Emma LOVES her big brother, Corbin. She wants/thinks she can do anything he can do.
*She LOVES to play Superheros with Corbin. She runs around screaming "HULK SMASH!"
*She LOVES DOLLS. Any house we go to she will go and find a baby doll and bring it to me.
*Emma gets so excited when her Daddy shows up. I really need to get on camera but the second she hears the door open she comes running from wherever she is and will scream "DADDY."
*She is OBSESSED with chips. (Like mother like daughter) She will pounce on any chip she sees. It is actually quite entertaining to watch.
*She says please, thanks, Momma, Dad, sippy, bath, popcorn, apple, book, chips, booty (as in pirate booty), fishie, help, up, duck, dog, and she can tell us what the monkey, cow, sheep, elephant, dog, duck, pig, tiger, lion, frog, horse all say. She also knows what sounds the letter A, M, & O say.
*She loves to go out and ride her swivel car and has gotten really good at it.
*She loves to cuddle. Her new thing is to go and get her blanket and for me to wrap her up in it and just hold her. I love it! It's my new favorite thing to do as well.
We sure love our Little Miss E!

Water Gun Fight
For Corbin's birthday he was given a water gun so when I asked Corbin what he wanted to get his Dad for Father's day he immediately told me, "a water gun so he can be cool like me and we can have fights with them."
I am sure this is the first of many water fights!
Emma's "watergun". She was so sad that she was missing out on all of the fun. |
Temple Square Field Trip
Some of my friends and I
thought it would be a lot of fun to have a summer of little "field trips" once a week. We sat down at the beginning of the summer and planned a field trip for every week. This last week we went down to temple square and did a little picture scavenger hunt with the kids. We printed up a scavanger hunt that we had found on pinterest. The kids had so much fun walking around temple square and trying to find where the picture belongs. It was also fun for the Moms to take a chance and talk to the kids as they found each picture and tell them about what we were looking at. My favorite was at the Lion House as we sat out front of it and talked about Brigham Young and how he had over 27 wives. The kids eyes all got really big and just we shocked by that. It was so funny. We finished the scavanger hunt then headed down to the church history museum to the kids center to cool off. It was starting to get really hot. It was a fun little field trip for all of us!
Don't they all just look thrilled to be there? |
Park City Adventure
Last weekend
Kyle was attending a referee clinic to help him get ready to ref college lacrosse up in Park City and was going to be staying at Cam and Torie's for a couple nights. After talking to Cam and Torie we all thought it could be fun for all of us to come up and spend a couple nights as well so we all went up to Park City. We had such a great time just hanging out together. The first night we thought it would be fun for Evan and Corbin to sleep in the same room but after putting them down at 8:30 and still being up at 11:00 we decided maybe that was the best idea. On Friday night Cam took Corbin and Evan into the hot tub. Corbin thought that it was the coolest thing ever! (Torie got some really cute pictures of Corbin and Evan that I'm waiting for her to send to me.)
On Saturday we all headed down to the new City Creek Center. We grabbed a bite to eat and then shopped for a little. We took the kids into the Disney store and they were all just so enthralled with the whole store. After doing a little shopping Emma was getting tired so I took my kids to the little fountains they have and let them play for awhile before we had to leave to head back home.

6 Year Anniversary
On Saturday, June 9th, Kyle and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary! I still cannot believe that we have been married that long. That time has flown by so fast! Kyle was in charge this year and he surprised me with a horseback ride. I have been begging and asking to go horseback riding since we were dating and he kept promising me that he would take me. He finally kept that promise. We went up by Sundance where they took us to Stuarts Waterfall. My horse was named Grub and Kyle's was named Spike.
After our horseback riding we went to lunch at the Olive Garden. Following lunch we drove out to Herriman, we are considering moving out there, to check it out. While driving through a neighborhood looking at homes we came upon the UP house. I was so excited that I just had to take a picture! We are just starting the whole process of finding a home and moving but I really liked Herriman and we both got excited for this next adventure in our lives. After doing some house searching we went to the Oquirrah Mountain Temple to be with Alissa, my brother's fiancee, as she went through for the first time. It was very special for Kyle and I to be able to be in a temple the same day we got married.
After temple and dinner we went to pick up the kids from Jodi's house and on our way out I had asked Kyle if we were going to make it to a gas station to fill up and he said yes. About a minute later he tells me, "Nope, guess not." We slowly coasted down 114th and were lucky enough to make a block away from a 7-11. A kind family drove Kyle back from the gas station and waited until they knew that we had started our car and could drive away.
Brett & Karli
On Tuesday, June 5th, my brother Brett got married to his beautiful fiance Karli in the Draper Temple. It was such a wonderful day and we are so excited to have Karli be apart of our family.
