Boys Late Night

While Corbin was off track he really wanted to have a late night with all of his friends and watch Jurassic World.  Kyle was actually the instigator and made it happen.  I was glad that he was the one willing to stay out front with all of these crazies!

Big Boy Bed

We decided with the new year to make the transition from crib to big boy bed for Bode.  After the experience with Corbin I was super anxious about doing this, since Bode is a lot like Corbin but is also SUPER stubborn so I could see it going really bad!  But much to my surprise it went perfect!  He has stayed in his bed pretty much every night.  We have had a few mornings since he can just get out but that's ok.  I'll take it!

New Years Day

We spent New Years day at my parents house. We watched football, took the kids sledding and played a few games.

New Years Eve

We spent New Year's Eve with some neighbors. We played games until quarter to 10 and then we celebrated the New Year with all the kids at 10, put them to bed and then the adults got back together and played a game and celebrated the New Year at midnight and ended up talking until 2 AM.  We constantly feel so lucky to have such amazing people as neighbors.  2015 was a good year and with a new baby coming and a new job project on the horizon, 2016 is already shaping up to be a year of change and growth.  I only hope that I can survive this rollercoaster this year!

Curly Hair

Bode is in DIRE need of a hair cut but with his hair getting longer we have discovered that it has a serious curl to it.  I decided on a Sunday that I just wanted to see what it would do.  It was pretty cute for awhile but after nursery his hair was just crazy!  He still needs a haircut but for now we are enjoying those little curls of his!

Ski Day

During winter break Kyle and Corbin were able to take a day and go skiing. Grandpa Parrish even joined them, which Corbin was super thrilled about! I'm really sad that I won't be able to hit the slopes with him this year but I cannot wait to see how much progress he makes.  I'm sure I'll be trying to keep up with him next year.

Bike Riding

Bode got a balance bike for Christmas and when he opened it he was so excited but as soon as Kyle got it built he refused to ride it!  He wanted nothing to do with it.  It took almost a week of asking him to ride it for him to finally get on it and try riding it.  Since then he's been riding it around the house like a champ!  I can't wait for it to get warm and get him outside on it!

Christmas Day-Parrish Family

Christmas afternoon we spent with the Parrish family.  We had our performances, Corbin played the piano for the first time in front of everybody.  I was so proud of him and Emma decided at the last second that she wanted to sing with him.  We had a delicious dinner and then opened gifts.  My favorite part of Christmas is being able to spend time with all those who mean the very most to me, my own little family and both extended families!
