We are coming to the end of our Summer Bucket list. We have had such a fun time doing all of the things on our list. Dino Museum was one that Kyle really wanted to do. I don't know how much the kids really liked it but it was a fun outing with our good friends the Stromans.

Pioneer Day
Like every year we had a kind of quiet 24th of July. Kyle has to work so it's just me and the kids for most of the day. In the morning the kids and I made cinnamon rolls and watched the Salt Lake parade. Corbin was really into it this year and kept looking for Pioneers during the parade. That evening we had a BBQ with some friends and then lit off fireworks with people from our neighborhood. It was so much fun! We feel so blessed to be in this neighborhood and have made such great friends.

Summer Bucket List-BIG snow cones
This place had some of the best snow cones I have ever had! You can get them with ice cream in the bottom as well. YUM!
This is the Place
On Monday our friends invited us to go to the This is the Place park with them. I don't think I have ever really been there and was shocked how much there was to to do. Some kids got their face shaved by the local barber. They played in the splash pad, panned for gold, made arrowhead necklaces and rode the ponies. We didn't even do half of the stuff that is there to do. I want to go back when it isn't so blistering hot outside.

Bear Lake-Week 1
We once again had a fabulous trip to Bear Lake. Everyone was able to come up and by the end of the week we were 33 people strong! It was so fun having everyone there. Kyle was also able to come up for the entire week, which is something he hasn't been able to do in almost 10 years. Corbin was our brave try it all kid this week. He tried water skiing, knee boarding all on his own, paddle boarding, surfing with his Dad and he even attempted the wake board. I don't think he is quite big enough to wake board but he did try and we were so proud of him for that. On Thursday the water got really smooth and stayed smooth for most of the day. 20 of us were able to go water skiing. I was dying to try but was really nervous to. I had only been successful once before then actually getting up and it was on the fat ski that was not out on the dock. Kyle told me that if I did it he would do it so I put on my big girl pants and strapped me feet into the girl ski that they had and got in the water. I got myself all situated and told them to hit it. I held on for a while and then all of a sudden I was up. I was so excited that I lost focus and then fell over. Once again the boat got in front of me and I yelled hit it and I was up again and going. To say that I was ecstatic is a huge understatement. Unfortunately this was the one day that I completely forgot my camera so there is no proof but I did it and that is all that matters. After I went Kyle got his ski on and got in the water. I haven't seen him get up on the first try at all so I was pumped up for him. He yelled hit it and off we went and up he went! We were 2 for 2. I was so excited for the both of us. A huge day for the Kyle Liljenquist family! We are so grateful for the chance we have to go up and spend time with the Liljenquist family at this beautiful cabin. It really is such a special place for our entire family.
