Thanksgiving Day
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent the day with the Parrish Family this year. I totally dropped the ball as far as picture taking went this year but fortunately for me my wonderful sister in law, Brooke was on top of things!

Thankful Turkeys
The day before Thanksgiving the kids and I sat down and made some thankful turkeys. Corbin wanted to cut his out while Emma was more than ok with me drawing hers out. Corbin also insisted that the turkeys had hats on them. Then we started making feathers for them. I asked each of the kids what they were grateful for. Some of my favorites were from Emma that she was thankful for chips and treats. From Corbin that he was grateful for Cosmo and his special monkey. I loved doing this with my kids and loved teaching them to be grateful for everything we have.
1st Hair Cut
Emma had her very first hair cut last week. It was just a little off the back and a little bit of layering. We didn't even touch the top. She was starting to look like big time mullet baby. We needed to help the top catch up with the top.

Primary Program 2012
Corbin had his very first Primary Program on Sunday.
He worked really hard on memorizing his part. His part was "I know that every choice I make has a consequence." When it came his time to give his part he took his scriptures up and searched through his scriptures for his part. The primary president tried to help him say his part and he promptly looked at her and said, "I already know it." He finally found his part looked up and smiled at us and said his part. Both Kyle and I got tears in our eyes. We were so proud of him! He stood and sang every song with all his heart and we got many comments on how cute he was to watch and how fun it was to hear him singing all of the songs so well.

House Progress
Wolverine
One Saturday Corbin woke up and was completely obsessed with Wolverine. He wanted his hair done just like him and he wanted to dress just like him. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on who you were we did not have a Wolverine costume so he dressed like Logan instead. And yes he wore his hair like that ALL day and he thought that it was pretty cool that I knew how to make claws out of paper.

Happy Halloween!
We had a great Halloween this year. We carved pumpkins the night before, which Emma HATED and Corbin LOVED and also had donuts that night for a treat. Halloween was filled with lots of smiles and lots and lots of candy.
My Grandma Parrish
The day before Halloween I took my kids down to Centerville to show off their costumes to my parents and my 2 living Grandmas. Grandma Parrish is 93 years old and can't remember things very well so she writes down a lot of things. When we went to visit her my Dad showed me her front door and what had been sitting on her front porch since Sunday waiting for the Trick or Treaters.
