Marketplace at School

At Corbin's school they had a marketplace for the 3rd graders.  Each kid was assigned a career and they were given a certain amount of money and then they had to go to each table and had to spend their money and buy things and they had to figure out how to budget to make sure they had enough money.  I was able to volunteer and it was so fun to sit and watch each kid.  Corbin was given the job of Physical Therapist.  I was at the chance table and kids kept coming back hoping they would get money instead of owe and one kid mentioned it was a lot like gambling which he was right.  Corbin and his 2 buddies have grown up so much the last couple of months and watching them count and budget money and shop for things made me realize that he is growing up way too fast!
