I've noticed that I have not been taking a whole lot of pictures. I knew that it would eventually happen but it makes me really sad that I'm missing moments so I decided I want to try and pull out my good camera twice a week and just take pictures of what is going on with my kids. Because Bode is home the most with me this post is all about him. He is really coming into his own personality and has become quite the ham when I go to take pictures of him.

Ski Vacation 2015
We had a great time at ski vacation this year. Corbin was at the age that he could come and he was beyond ecstatic that he got to come. He spent the first 2 days at ski school which helped him out a ton and then on Monday he got to ski all day with us and the family all day.
For the first time in my life I skied double black diamonds. My cute niece London was getting asked to prom and she asked if I wanted to come and see it. She told me that we were going to go through some trees and I thought heck I can do stuff like that, I do it with Corbin when I'm skiing with him. Well it wasn't anything like I ski with Corbin. The second I saw the sign my heart started racing and as we skied right along the edge I really started getting nervous but when I saw how I had to get down it was total freak out time for me. I took a little bit at a time. It wasn't pretty and I did fall once but I made it down the hill. I felt such a rush after. I wouldn't just go do it again but if I had to I know that I could do it!
On Monday it snowed a ton and there was a lot of powder. I was anxious for Corbin to ski in this weather but he rocked it. The cousins all found a jump to go off of so Corbin jumped in line and went off of it a few times. After lunch we headed back out but I was not so onboard with it so I ended up sitting in the lodge with a few other family members while Kyle, Corbin, Cam and Evan skied the mountain. They went through all sorts of trees and different paths. Corbin loved every second!

Girls Day-TOFW
As mentioned before we decided this year for Christmas for my Mom and Dad that we would give them our time. Boys had their day and now it was the girls turn. We decided to do a weekend of Time Out for Women. Best decision ever! Such a great weekend hanging out with people that mean the world to me and getting regenerated. It truly was a time out for me. Things had been a little crazy and I hadn't been feeling totally myself and it was so nice to get away and have a chance to focus on me and what I need. One speaker really just hit it home for me and it was funny how it went right along with my personal theme for the year. Her motto for life is "Lower the bar and Be awesome!" She talked a lot about how as moms we put so much pressure and expectations on for ourselves and we need to realize that we don't have to have it all perfect. We need to be the best Mom for our kids.
There were also a lot of other really great speakers and music. It was just what I needed and it definitely helped that I was there with 4 very special ladies in my life. I don't have sisters so all of my sister in laws have an extremely special place in my heart! My name was also drawn during one of the drawings and I won a $50 gift card to Deseret Book! I was in such shock! I've never won anything like that before!

2 Wheeler
Around November, December time Emma started telling us that she wanted her training wheels off. We kept telling her that we would do it but kept forgetting. While Corbin was off track in January Emma asked again and Corbin told her he would do it so they went down together and took off her training wheels. A couple weeks later Emma came running upstairs and told us that she had learned how to ride her bike without training wheels. We ran down and come to find out that she, with Corbin's help, had figured out how to ride her bike. I was really blown away. Because of this crazy warm weather we've been having I decided to take her down to some flat ground, because we live on a hill, and see how she does. We borrowed our friends bike that's more her size and she jumped on it and rode off. She's still a little wobbly but she's figured out how to turn and is starting to get faster. I am so unbelievably happy and proud of her!
Fancy Valentine's Dinner
Because we spent the day skiing on Valentine's Day we didn't really have the energy to make our fancy dinner that night so we decided we would do it on Sunday. For dessert we did our normal fondue which the kids just love.
