Summer Bucket List-Lemonade Stand

After putting it on our list the kids were so excited to do a Lemonade stand.  I thought that it would be something they really enjoyed.  We picked an overcast day so that it wouldn't be too hot and opened up for business.  10 minutes into it the kids were bored.  They weren't understanding why no one was coming.  15 minutes into it their friends came over and bought some and then they wanted to play.  I made them stick with it for an hour and a half and they each made $3.25.  I don't think we'll ever do this again unless it is their idea.

Summer Bucket List-Cherry Hill

We revised the bucket list just a little bit for this one.  We had originally put on it to do Seven Peaks but after talking to a couple of friends about water parks we decided it would be fun to take our kids down to Cherry Hill for a day.  We all dropped our babies off at sitters and had a great day with all of the big kids.  We floated the lazy river, rode Cardiac Canyon many times and played by the pirate ship.  Such a fun day with a great group of friends.

Summer Bucket List-Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

As part of our Summer Bucket List we decided to read a book as a family.  We decided on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and told the kids when we finished the book that we would have a Wonka night and watch the movie.  The kids were so enthralled when we read the book and they were even more excited when we finished it and could have our Wonka night.  We bought all kinds of Wonka candy and some of the best chocolate.  It was so fun to have done this as a family.  We enjoyed it so much we are getting ready to start another book as a family.

Play Group

A few weeks ago we had the chance to get together with some of our dear friends from Ogden. A few of us have moved away and there was one missing but it was great to get together like old times and chat and laugh and watch our kids play.  It felt like no time had passed since we had all been together almost 2 years ago.

Evening up the Canyon

For family night we headed up American Fork canyon with our friends the Stromans for a campfire.  We roasted hot dogs, played by the river and of course roasted marshmallows and had s'mores!  We has such a fun evening with our friends and our own little family.  Oh and we finally were able to try out s'mores with reeses peanut butter cups and let me just tell you. Oh my goodness they were so yummy!  I ate 2! YUM!  We will definitely be doing this again!
