I cannot believe that Bode is almost 1! He is still so small. It'll be interesting to see what his stats are at his 1 year old check up. He is such a little busy body. He is constantly wanting to move and do things for himself. Sometimes I feel like he is a little boy trapped in a baby's body by the way he acts. He has started standing up in the middle of the floor and has started taking a few steps. He can cruise while crawling and walking along furniture and is just starting to get brave enough to let go of items and walk to the next place as long as the next place is within reach after the first step. It's really funny to watch how cautious he is. He has become a huge Daddy's boy. Ever since California, when Kyle is around he is pretty much all he wants. He loves to eat whatever we are eating. His current favorites are pickles, grilled cheese sandwiches and has discovered that he really likes strawberries. He loves to give kisses and has learned how to blow kisses and wave hi/goodbye. And his favorite thing to do his blow bubbles with his mouth.

Tulip Festival
I took my kids to the Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival at the beginning of May. It was so fun to walk around with our friends and see all the thousands of tulips and all of the different colors that they have planted. The kids would go up to each color and smell them and tell us they smelled like some kind of fruit. The pink ones smelled like watermelons and the yellow ones smelled like lemons and bananas.

Easter Sunday
Our Easter was very small this year with us getting back from California the night before. I even think if I hadn't put out the Easter baskets out Sunday morning my kids may have not known it was Easter until we had gotten to church and they talked about it in Primary. I feel slightly bad about that but at the same time I don't because we had just had a blast on our family trip. After church we went up to Heber to spend the rest of the day with the Liljenquist family. Heidi had made sugar cookies for people to decorate and then the kids got to do an egg hunt and Corbin found the egg with the dollar bill in it. Even though we were exhausted it was so nice to spend the evening with family!

Disneyland Day 7
On Friday we decided to try and go see the tide pools. Unfortunately I think we got there as low tide was ending so we were unsuccessful at seeing anything but the kids had a blast none the less playing on the beach. We went back to the beach house and had lunch and some quiet time for the kids while the adults played games outside. We also went and got snow cones at this coffee house that we had been told were awesome and they were! Best snow cone I've had in a long time. That night Kyle and I were able to go out while Amber and Sam stayed home with the kids. Saturday we drove home, which ended up taking us a whole lot longer than we wanted it to, but we made it home and were so glad to be back home. We couldn't have asked for a better family trip!
