Hogle Zoo

I love the Zoo! I would go all the time if we lived closer to it. At the last minute we decided to go to the Zoo this last weekend. We had such a great time. Josh and Beckett joined us too. The kids loved seeing all the animals. The tigers were Corbin's favorite. The male tiger was out roaming around and would come up right to the glass. I love the giraffes. This was Emma's first time at the Hogle Zoo and I think she really enjoyed it. Every animal we would see she would start making the noises they make. It was really cute. We are super excited for the new exibit that is going to be opening this summer that will have bears, sea lions, otters and polar bears.

Perfect Love

This morning as I was cleaning up a little, listening to some church music, I was watching my 2 kids outside and started thinking about what a great weekend we had been having as a family. I started getting a little smile on my face just thinking about how much I loved my little family. As I was thinking about the love I have for my kids this song came on. It's called "Perfect Love."

As I listened to this song and thought about my family I was overcome with this feeling of love from my Heavenly Father. It felt almost as if he was wrapping his arms around me in a big hug reassuring me that He loves me unconditionally and that He will always love me. It literally started in my head and went clear down to my toes. It was the most incredible feeling that I have ever experienced. He has the most perfect and pure love for us and He will never abandon us no matter how far we fall. I feel so blessed to get a tiny glimpse into how much He loves us by having the opportunity to have children of my own. The love I have for them is the same unconditional love that our Heavenly Father has for each one us times 10. I feel so blessed to have had this experience!

Like a Bee

"I went like a Bee. BUZZ!" That is what he told his Grandma when she commented on Corbin's new haircut.

Swing Makeover

Kind of spur of the moment I decided that I wanted to fix our bench swing that is on our swing set. The kids have loved it but it had some major holes in it. So I picked up some fabric and went to it. It was a good afternoon craft for me. I had a friend come over and walk me through it to make sure I knew what I was doing. I was surprised at how quickly the project went and I was able to finish it before the kiddies had to start getting ready for bed so they got a chance to enjoy it. I'm pretty proud of it and now I want to find another project to do! Maybe I'll finally make time to finish our kitchen.
